My Other Ride Is A Laser
My Other Ride Is A Laser
For the junior sailor whose other ride might just be their ride for life.
My Other Ride is a Laser is for those growing into a boat that can grow right along with them. They’ll work their way through the rigs, learn to hike harder than seems reasonable, and eventually start beating the people who taught them how to sail.
Maybe you raced Lasers yourself and this is your dream come true. Maybe this is entirely their thing and you’re just along for the ride (and the smelly gear). Either way, one day they’ll learn to drive a car, and approximately five minutes later, you’ll teach them how to back up a boat trailer.
And unlike most things they’ll outgrow, this one can stick around. The kid launching a Laser today could still be racing one decades from now.
Someday you might even line up against them on the starting line. Just don’t expect them to let you win.
