My Other Ride Is A 420
My Other Ride Is A 420
For the sailors learning that sometimes it really does take two.
My Other Ride is a 420 is for those sailors discovering the magic of doublehanded sailing: teamwork, communication, symmetrical spinnakers, and a skipper who will eventually learn to steer with their knees because apparently that’s a reasonable thing to do.
Maybe it’s your boat. Maybe it belongs to the club. Maybe you chartered it 1,000 miles from home and are currently trying to figure out which piece is missing. Either way, there will be road trips, regattas, wet gear, questionable communication, and at some point, an unexpected education in fiberglass repair.
They’ll learn to crew. They’ll learn to skipper. They’ll learn exactly how loudly you can yell “TRIM!” at your best friend and still get lunch together afterward. And somewhere along the way, two people in a boat become one hell of a team.
